Privacy Policy

Personal data we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through our forms, plus the minimum technical data needed to run and protect the site.

• Contact form: your name, email address and message, the department you choose, and, if you give them, your company and phone number.
• Subscribe form: your first and last name, business email address, and, if you give them, your organisation and country, together with your consent to receive updates.
• Newsletter sign-up in the footer: your email address.
• Technical data: your IP address, used briefly to stop abuse of the forms, and the standard server logs our hosting provider keeps (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time).

This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising and does not track you across other websites.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and route it to our sales, training or support team.
• To send you news, product updates and event information you have subscribed to.
• To keep a record of our communications with you.
• To protect this website and our forms from spam and abuse.
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Fields marked as required are needed for us to respond. If you leave them out, we will not be able to deal with your request. Optional fields are up to you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run this website and respond to you, and only for those purposes:

• Lark (Lark Technologies), the business records system where we store form submissions.
• Our website hosting provider, which runs this site and, if Lark is unavailable, delivers your submission to our team by email.
• Cloudflare, if our bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) is switched on. It checks technical signals from your browser, including your IP address, to tell people from automated spam.

We may also disclose personal data to our professional advisers, or to authorities where the law requires it.

Transfers outside Malaysia

Some of our service providers, including Lark and Cloudflare, may process personal data outside Malaysia. Where that happens, we take the steps the PDPA requires so your data keeps a level of protection comparable to the protection it has in Malaysia.

How we protect it

• This website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections.
• Our forms check every submission and limit how many can come from one address each minute. For that limit we keep only a one-way scrambled version (a hash) of your IP address and the times you submitted, and delete it after about an hour.
• Access to the records of your enquiry is limited to the staff who need it to help you.

If a breach of personal data security happens, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and, where the PDPA requires it, the people affected.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: for as long as we need them to respond and manage our relationship with you, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
• Subscriptions: until you ask us to stop sending you updates.
• Abuse-protection records: about one hour.
• Server logs: for the period our hosting provider keeps them. If a submission fails to send, the server's error log may briefly record your email address.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may:

• ask for access to the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or out of date;
• withdraw your consent to our processing your personal data;
• ask us to stop using your personal data for direct marketing;
• ask us to transmit your personal data to another data controller, where technically feasible.

To make a request, email info@mapifytech.com with the subject "Personal data". We will respond within the time the PDPA requires, and may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner (Jabatan Perlindungan Data Peribadi).

Updates and marketing

We send news and product updates only to people who subscribe. You can stop them at any time by emailing info@mapifytech.com with the subject "Unsubscribe".

Children

This website is meant for organisations and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
